Sour Cream Chocolate Frosting
Sour Cream Chocolate Frosting. In a microwave safe glass bowl, add butter and chocolate chips to the bowl. Gradually add powdered sugar, beating until smooth.
Then add in half of the powdered sugar and mix until creamy. Heat the chocolate chips in a bowl over hot water until melted. Let cool and blend in the sour cream, vanilla, and salt.
Remove from heat and beat in sour cream.
In a large mixing bowl, add sour cream, cocoa powder, kosher salt, and melted chocolate mixture.
Pour into an electric mixer with the whisk attachment on low speed. Add the powdered sugar and cocoa powder and beat on medium speed until fluffy. Melt chocolates in a double boiler or a large metal bowl set over a saucepan of simmering water, stirring occasionally.
