Tres Leches Cake Ingredients. Beat egg yolks until uniform, smooth, pale yellow and doubled in volume. Pour into prepared pan and spread to even out the surface.
While the cake is baking whisk together the heavy cream, condensed milk and evaporated milk. Remove from heat and set aside. Add in the egg yolks one at a time, then add in the vanilla and milk.
Pour egg yolks, vanilla and ½ cup sugar into the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a whisk attachment, or use a hand mixer.
Stir in vanilla after beating in the eggs one at a time.
Warm the mixture over low heat until completed mixed. Fold egg white mixture into the batter very gently until just combined. In a small bowl, beat egg whites until soft peaks form.
